Close to jarrah, marri and powderbark forest, the valleys themselves are forested with wandoo, making for peaceful bushwalks through the area.
It's also a great place to see a wide variety of wildflowers and birdlife in the Spring.
The campground itself is popular for launching canoes into the Avon River, and features picnic tables, fire rings, toilets and water (untreated).
It is suitable for tents and small caravans or camper trailers only.
