The aim is to make your stay something special… something that will be remembered forever. When you arrive you will be greeted with the beauty of the lush tropical rainforest and a wealth of activities to do. However, you may find that you only get as far as the verandah which is surrounded by tall lush green rainforest with giant palms, draping vines, Ulysses butterflies and irridescent blooms… You may decide to take a swim in the deep crystal clear waters of Little Cooper Creek which flows right in front of the deck. Teeming with wild jungle perch and having fresh mountain drinking water… "Halwyn" has one of the most beautiful private swimming holes in the rainforest! Your stay will have neglible carbon footprint as all electricity is Hydro-power from the creek.
Halwyn is fully furnished with three bedrooms (2 King Double Beds & 2 Single Beds), 2 bathrooms, open plan living/kitchen area and with a large scenic verandah. Your linen is provided along with tea, coffee, condiments and a fully equipped kitchen.
The house has a TV, DVD and CD player along with a library of DVD’s and CD’s for your enjoyment. There is also a selection of books and games. However, there is no Cable Television or Internet.
Activities in this area are plentiful and include gentle walks (the beach is 5 mins. away, Cape Tribulation is 15 mins. away), industrious hiking, guided nature trails, crocodile tours, swimming, sailing, snorkelling, scuba diving, reef fishing and much more.
